The Senior Ladies Thirds team are currently coached by Paul Miller, Sean O'Fiacháin and Jarlath Tierney. The Thirds team has members of all ages and abilities.
The team consists of a variety of players, including more experienced senior ladies, younger players working their way up through the ranks, and former hockey club members coming back to the sport that want to rekindle their passion for hockey.
The Senior Ladies Thirds team is ideal those who want to keep fit and have fun, or take your hockey a little more seriously. Off the pitch there is a great social scene and regular events.
Involvement in Team management:
We are very keen to involve parents and patrons in our club, and especially in the Senior section of the club. We would be delighted to hear from any persons who wish to volunteer or coach within the club.
Hockey will be cancelled where the club management believe the pitch or surroundings are unplayable and dangerous. This has happened in the past couple of seasons during the very frosty/cold weather. Rain is not considered dangerous.
If you or your child has any allergies or medical conditions (that you have not already advised us of this year) please let us know by email, in advance of the first training session.
Please remember, some of the players are children, the coaches are giving up their time to coach you and your child and the umpires cannot see everything. This is local hockey, not the final of the Olympics or the World Cup. It’s not all about winning, playing enjoyable and competitive hockey is what Senior Hockey in our club is all about.
