The Senior Ladies Thirds team is currently coached by Michael Brennan and brings together
a diverse group of players of all ages and skill levels. Our team includes seasoned senior
players, younger athletes advancing through the ranks, and former club members returning
to reignite their love for hockey. We welcome players of all experience levels, whether you
are new to the sport or seasoned pro—if you're looking to give it a go, we'd love to hear from
you!
The Senior Ladies Thirds team is perfect for those looking to stay active and have fun, or for
those who want to take their hockey to the next level. Off the pitch, we boast a vibrant social
scene with regular events, creating a great sense of camaraderie within the team.
We’re proud to have won the Galway Hockey Club Connacht Senior Division 2 title in the
2021/2022 season.
For 2025/2026 season, we are competing in the Connacht Hockey Division 3 League.
Involvement in Team management:
We are very keen to involve parents and patrons in our club, and especially in the Senior section of the club. We would be delighted to hear from any persons who wish to volunteer or coach within the club.
Training Cancellations:
Hockey will be cancelled where the club management believe the pitch or surroundings are unplayable and dangerous. This has happened in the past couple of seasons during the very frosty/cold weather. Rain is not considered dangerous.
Medical Conditions:
If you or your child has any allergies or medical conditions (that you have not already advised us of this year) please let us know by email, in advance of the first training session.
Please remember, some of the players are children, the coaches are giving up their time to coach you and your child and the umpires cannot see everything. This is local hockey, not the final of the Olympics or the World Cup. It’s not all about winning, playing enjoyable and competitive hockey is what Senior Hockey in our club is all about.
