5th and 6th Class girls

At Galway Hockey Club, we're putting our focus firmly on developing our girls at this age, ready for secondary school and league hockey.

With smaller groups and quality coaching, players get more individual attention, more time on the ball and more opportunities to develop their game.

New Members:

Training for 5th and 6th class girls will take place each Saturday from 12.00-13.00.  

Pleaes ensure that your child is registered with both Hockey Ireland and with Galway hockey Club before you turn up to Dangan.  All details are on our membership page.

Please note that going forward, all communication from the club will be done via a whatsappgroup.  All numbers are taken from the registration, so please ensure that the number you have included in our registration is the one that you want to be used for future communication.  If you have not been included on the whatsapp group, pleaes let Ruth or Ann know.  

While at training:

• Arrive at each session ready to play.
• Head straight to your groups area of the pitch
• Listen to the coaches, respect them and learn from them.
• Respect and help your team-mates - remember not everyone is perfect the first time.

What you need for training:

• Hockey Stick
• Shinguards
• Mouthguard
• Red club sweatshirt (These will be available to buy from the co-ordinators before the end of September, if you do not already have one).
• Runners
• Raincoat (club ones will also be available before the end of September)
• Water

6th Class

We have entered our 6th class teams into the Connacht 6th Class (Under 14C League). 

We would therefore require all team members to purchase the club gear as soon as possible:

• Red club shirt
• Black club skort
• Black socks 
• Red socks
