Galway hockey club players Lynsey Trainor and Emily Molloy have both been confirmed on Mary Logue's Irish U-18 team that will participate in the U-18 European Youth Nations Championships from the 6th to the 11th of July this summer. While this is not new ground for Lynsey Trainor who already represented Ireland at the U-16 European Youth Nations championships last year in the De Hague Holland where the Irish U-16 finished 4th, it will be Emily Molloy's first ever experience of European action for the young Galway keeper. The two girls from Galway complete a five man contingent from Connacht reflecting again the excellent development work happening within the provenice. Commenting about the final selection of the squad Irish Head coach Mary Logue described it as
