Mills & Oakley Hail Galway's European Success

Following the announcement on Wednesday last that Galway is to host the European Club indoor Championships in 2010, the Connacht Regional development officer Phil Oakley was quick to praise both the club and its members

''This is another fantastic development for Galway Hockey Club as well Connacht Hockey in general. To have such an important tournament being hosted in Galway is testament to the great work being done by committed volunteers in the club and will also be of major benefit in developing indoor hockey across the country. I am sure that the event will be a great success.''

While the national development officer Fiona Mills too offer her congradulations to the club on achieving something very special
