Elaine Carey announced as Irish Under 16 captain

Elaine Carey from Galway Hockey Club has just been announced as the Irish Under 16 captain for the forthcoming tour of Holland.  This is a great honour for Elaine who has been a member of this Irish squad for three years.  Elaine travelled to Dublin to join her teammates straight from the Connacht Senior Cup final win at the weekend.  

This completes a unique treble for GHC, a Connacht Senior Cup win, a Smith Cup win and an Irish Captaincy in one weekend.

Well done Elaine and the best of luck to you and the rest of the Irish Squad in Holland from all your friends in Galway Hockey Club.
