Super Saturday

Congratulations to two Galway Hockey Teams who made Saturday 15th January 2011 super saturday.

Firstly, congratulations to Galway Hockey Club's Under 14A team who travelled to Athlone to take part in the Connacht Under 14A Cup competitions and won, beating Athlone in the final.  Leah Casey and Gemma Rhatigan the scorers in the final.  Coach Emilie Molloy and Manager Nicola Van der Walt are very proud of their "babies"!

Congratulations also to Galway Hockey Club second team, who travelled to Cork to play Ashton in the first round of the Irish Junior Cup.  They beat Ashton by 1 goal to nil. Elaine Carey the scorers.  They now take on Dublin University in the second round on 29th January in Dublin.
