Not only was the weather fantastic last Sunday at Dangan regional sports centre but so was the result for a young Galway U-16 side who claimed the 1st major honour of the hockey season by claiming the Smith Cup as their own. It was smiles all round for the victorious Galway Hockey Club U-16 girls as they put all their skill and determination into action to beat off stiff competition and come away as deserved winners of the Smyth Cup on Sunday in Dangan.
